QR code menu vs PDF menu: what's better for your restaurant?

Many restaurants' first QR code pointed to a PDF of their printed menu. It worked in a pinch. But guests and owners both notice the difference when they switch to a menu built for phones. Here's an honest comparison.
Reading on a phone
A PDF is a printed page shrunk onto a phone. Guests pinch, zoom and scroll sideways to read small text. A live mobile menu is laid out for the screen: large text, sections you can jump between, and tap-to-open photos and details.
Loading on a weak signal
